Printed side of placemat is laminated cotton. Reverse side is specialist chalkcloth fabric that can be drawn on like a regular chalkboard. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth to erase chalk drawing.  A lightweight and space saving alternative to larger blackboards.

Comes with non toxic chalk in matching pouch. Replace with any brand once chalk runs out.
